About SixXS

SixXS is not a company, but rather a privately conducted development of software. As such, we do not have any owners except for the two Copyright holders, Pim and Jeroen, mentioned below, who set up SixXS with a lot of time and effort, building the service from the ground up as a community service. Our target is to provide decent IPv6 connectivity. This thus involves the Tunnel Broker portion, but also monitoring the IPv6 routing tables using, amongst others, GRH.

For whom?

For everybody. The average joe and jane can use AICCU so that they can use IPv6 very quick and easy. For the technically savvy, they can also use AICCU or they can set the tunnel up manually, whatever one wishes. SixXS additionally provides services to the networking and internet operator community with tools like GRH which can be used for monitoring and debugging the IPv6 routing tables.

SixXS Staff

The following persons currently make up the SixXS Staff. SixXS has role objects from RIPE (SIXT1-RIPE), APNIC (SATR1-AP) and ARIN (STRA1-ARIN) which are applied to the various registry objects which are managed by SixXS.

Sending email to both info@sixxs.net and to the staff members directly won't help processing your message any faster. Use only info@sixxs.net for those cases which will reach them in any case. Sending it directly will have a negative impact and usually will result in no reply at all. Sending multiple mails or repeating your question won't help either. The SixXS staff members keep work, private, and SixXS separate thus respect this and don't mix them up. Read the contact page for more information.

Neither Pim's employer (Google), nor Jeroen's employer (IBM Zurich Research Laboratory) have any relation to or responsibility for the SixXS project. The Staff members are putting their spare time into this project and as such, none other than they are responsible for the projects wellbeing.

PoP Administrators

The PoP Administrators are the people who operate the PoP for their company and make sure that the PoP keeps working and is kept updated. Don't forget to thank these people when you realize that everything works smoothly.
